Enabling biodiversity-friendly practices to be integrated into mainstream farming is one of the main objectives of the project.

The Agro-biodiversity Working Group is made up of a number of partners which cover the breadth of the farming community. These include government agencies such as the Plan for the Modernisation of Agriculture (PMA) and the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS), as well as research organisations such as the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) and Makerere University as well as NGOs working in both the agriculture and biodiversity sectors.

The group meets regularly and field trips are organised to look at different farming systems and examples of best practice. Full details of the aims and objectives of the group can be found here

The group is coordinated by the Uganda Wildlife Society and can be contacted through them.
